Minister of Works, David Umahi, has arrived at the troubled Benin-Agbor corridor following days of severe gridlock, stranded motorists and growing public outrage over the deplorable state of the road, Peak Newspaper reports.
Commuters have reportedly spent several hours, and in some cases days, trapped along the route as traffic congestion worsened.
The minister’s visit comes amid mounting calls for urgent intervention to ease the suffering of motorists and restore movement along the busy corridor.
Attention is now focused on the Federal Government as motorists and residents await concrete measures to address the situation.
