African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has sparked online discussions after revealing a letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu requesting access to the Presidential Villa for his party’s upcoming inauguration, Peak Newspaper reports.
Sowore shared the correspondence on his official X account on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, ahead of the inauguration of the AAC Presidential Campaign Council.
In the letter, the opposition politician reportedly asked the President to allow the party to use the Presidential Villa for the event.
He also requested food, drinks and logistical assistance for approximately 5,000 participants expected to attend from within Nigeria and abroad.
The AAC reportedly justified its demands by citing multiparty democracy, political inclusion and the need for equal treatment of political parties.
The request has generated reactions among social media users, with the letter drawing attention to the party’s expectations from the Federal Government ahead of its planned event.
However, the available report did not indicate whether Tinubu had responded to the request.
