Minister of Works, David Umahi, has appealed to people in the Southeast to support President Bola Tinubu, saying the President has good intentions for the region, Peak Newspaper reports.
Umahi made the remarks while speaking about the Tinubu administration and its projects in the Southeast. He urged residents of the region to look beyond political differences and recognise what he described as the President’s commitment to development.
The minister said he believes the administration’s policies and infrastructure projects will bring greater benefits to the Southeast, adding that the region should support Tinubu’s efforts.
His comments come amid ongoing political debates in the Southeast over the Tinubu administration and the region’s position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
