Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, has expressed strong anger over the killings and insecurity in Nigeria, warning that the government must take urgent action, Peak Newspaper reports.

Oyedepo questioned the government’s response to the persistent killings, asking whether human lives had lost their value.

He said he had remained quiet while waiting on God, but warned that there would be consequences if the situation continued unchecked.

The cleric also criticised restrictions surrounding preaching in public transportation, questioning why people should be prevented from sharing their faith on buses.

Oyedepo further declared that he could not be expected to pray for those he accused of allowing members of his family to be killed, saying he would instead pray against them.

He warned that those responsible for the violence should not assume they could remain hidden indefinitely, saying the “bubble” would eventually burst.

The remarks have sparked reactions amid ongoing concerns over insecurity and attacks in different parts of Nigeria.
