Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is currently facing multiple investigations and legal challenges involving Nigeria’s anti-graft and security agencies, Peak Newspaper reports
Fresh developments have emerged from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the federal government, all probing allegations linked to his time in office.
A Source within the EFCC told Peak Newspaper that El-Rufai has been questioned over financial dealings and security-related matters, with the EFCC taking the lead in detaining him for interrogation. The DSS is also said to be examining issues tied to national security during his tenure.
The unfolding investigations have sparked significant public interest, given El-Rufai’s prominent role in Nigerian politics and his influence within the ruling party. Authorities have assured that due process will be followed as the probes continue.
