Former Governor Samuel Ortom has dismissed reports that PDP leaders plan to replace Michael Aondoakaa with Nigerian Shippers’ Council boss Pius Akutah, Peak Newspaper reports.
Ortom said the report is false. He said the meeting involving him, Aondoakaa, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, Akutah and other stakeholders was only for consultations on Benue’s future.
Ortom said replacing Aondoakaa was never discussed. He reaffirmed Aondoakaa as the PDP’s duly nominated 2027 governorship candidate.
Ortom urged PDP members and Benue residents to ignore the report, warning that misinformation could cause confusion ahead of the 2027 election.
