President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Nigeria for London, United Kingdom, for what is being described as the first official Nigerian state visit to the UK in about four decades, Peak Newspaper reports.
The visit is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties, expanding economic cooperation, and deepening partnerships between both nations in areas such as trade, investment, security, and education.
During the trip, President Tinubu is expected to meet with senior officials of the Government of the United Kingdom, business leaders, and members of the Nigerian community in the UK to discuss opportunities that could boost economic growth and bilateral relations.
Analysts say the visit could open new doors for investment, infrastructure development, and strategic partnerships, as both countries look to strengthen long-standing diplomatic and economic relations.
