The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore, has raised fresh concerns over the October 30 attack on him and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, after alleging that stolen mobile phones have been digitally traced to locations around government facilities, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a statement published on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Sowore claimed that one of the phones stolen during the attack had been traced to the Ekiti State Governor’s Lodge.
Another report quoting his statement said two stolen devices were tracked: one to an area opposite the Governor’s Office and another near Fajuyi Park in Ado-Ekiti.
Following the discovery, Sowore called on the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately release CCTV footage from Tawakalitu Restaurant, where the attack reportedly occurred.
He questioned why the surveillance recordings had not been made public, insisting that the footage could help establish what happened and identify those responsible.
Sowore has accused security authorities of withholding important evidence, although the allegation has not been independently established.
