The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will not be removed from her position as an ordained pastor in the church despite calls from some quarters, Peak Newspaper reports
Adeboye made the clarification during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service, stressing that the First Lady was ordained as an Assistant Pastor more than a decade ago, long before her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showed interest in contesting for the presidency.
He explained that her ordination followed due process in line with the church’s established guidelines and that she has not violated any of the doctrines or rules of the church since assuming the role.
The cleric further emphasized that the church would not bow to external pressure demanding her removal, maintaining that her pastoral status remains valid and unaffected.
