Farmers in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday sent a “save our soul” message to governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over alleged destruction of their farm land suspected agents of powerful individuals.
The farmers made the plea during a peaceful protest in Aponmu, Peak Newspaper reports.
Spokesperson Pastor Tope Akinkuade said crops worth millions were lost and urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intervene.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties Comrade Bola Taiwo, assured that the government would investigate and restore peace.
