Supervisor for Health in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Gbenga Raphael Ikusika, convened a meeting with market leaders and environmental officers on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, to establish new environmental sanitation protocols, Peak Newspaper reports.
Honorable Gbenga met with the Iyaloja, and the Seriki to establish a new environmental sanitation protocol for the region.
The discussions focused on the environmental sanitation of the Ore market and methods to improve daily cleanliness. Officials aim to ensure the Ore market becomes a modern facility.
The session included the Head of the Environmental Department, Mrs. Akinbiola, Assistant Head of Department Mrs. Akinsuroju, and others
Community representatives in attendance included the Seriki of the Hausa community, and the Iyaloja of Ore kingdom Chief Mrs. E.A. Ogundana.
During the session, the Head of the Environmental Department addressed the attendees regarding ongoing cleanliness efforts.”…you can see the sabo and its environment have been neat on daily basis,” the Head of the Environmental Department said.
