The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu has returned to Ago-Iwoye Police Station that marked the beginning of his journey through the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force, Peak Newspaper reports.
The visit was more than a routine inspection. It was an emotional return to the roots of a career that has taken him from his first posting to the highest professional position in the Nigeria Police Force.
Peak Newspaper understood that At Ago-Iwoye Division, Disu revisited his former office, walked through the residence where he once lived as a young police officer and returned to the farm he once cultivated during his early years in service.
For a moment, the office of the Inspector-General gave way to the memories of a young officer who once occupied the same space, carried the responsibilities of a DPO and nursed ambitions of making a difference in policing.
Standing in the same environment decades later, the IGP reflected on the extraordinary journey that followed — a journey marked by duty, discipline, professional growth and increasing responsibility.
His return also carried a powerful message for officers and men of the Force, particularly young policemen and women at the beginning of their careers: every accomplished officer was once a beginner.

“Can YOU visit where you worked before?”
