Omoyele Sowore has stepped down as National Chairman of the African Action Congress (AAC) and emerged as the party’s consensus presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 election, Peak Newspaper reports.
The African Action Congress (AAC) is currently holding its presidential primary in Abuja.
Addressing delegates and supporters after his victory, Sowore renewed his commitment to ending corruption, unemployment, poverty and bad governance, insisting that Nigeria deserves a government that works for ordinary citizens rather than a privileged political elite.
With his victory at the primary, Sowore will lead the AAC into the 2027 presidential election as the party seeks to build a nationwide movement for political change.
