Electoral materials for the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election have arrived at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Osu, Atakumosa Local Government Area, in the early hours of Saturday, Peak Newspaper reports.
The materials reportedly arrived at exactly 4:35 a.m., marking another major step in the preparations for the governorship poll taking place across the state today.
The arrival of the materials is expected to support the deployment of sensitive and non-sensitive election materials to the various Registration Areas and polling units within the local government ahead of the commencement of voting.
The development comes as INEC and other stakeholders continue final preparations for the election, with voters expected to begin exercising their constitutional right to choose the next governor of Osun State.
With voting expected to begin later in the morning, election officials, political parties, observers and other stakeholders are closely monitoring the movement and distribution of electoral materials to ensure that the process proceeds according to schedule.
Peak Newspaper will continue to monitor developments across the state and bring you verified updates as they unfold.
