A United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has raised concerns about Nigeria’s 2027 general election, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a post on its verified X account on Thursday, the firm said the United States could not afford to allow President Bola Tinubu to manipulate the forthcoming election.
The firm argued that free and fair elections in Nigeria were important to US interests and regional stability.
It also alleged that the Nigerian government had become associated with systemic corruption and governance concerns. The allegations were made by the firm and have not been independently established.
