Nicholas Tofowomo has emerged as the Senatorial Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State, Peak Newspaper reports.
Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, who represented Ondo South in the Senate between 2019 and 2023, is widely remembered for his impactful representation characterized by strategic empowerment programmes, employment opportunities for constituents, facilitation of developmental projects, as well as several bills and motions geared towards national growth and the advancement of Ondo South.
The affirmation which took place amidst overwhelming support from party leaders, stakeholders, and delegates across the six local government areas of the district, signals a renewed commitment by the party to purposeful leadership, quality representation, and people-oriented governance.
Speaking shortly after emerging as the party’s candidate, Senator Tofowomo appreciated members of the ADC and supporters across the senatorial district for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of the district through the consolidation of his developmental blueprint popularly known as the STREP Agenda:
S – Security T – Transportation R – Resources E – Employment/Empowerment P – Power (Electricity)
According to him, the STREP Agenda remains a practical roadmap towards economic growth, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, improved security, and better living conditions for the people of Ondo South.
He further assured constituents that his return to the Senate would usher in a new era of responsive representation, effective legislation, and sustainable development across the district.
With this development, the ADC continues to strengthen its position as a formidable force and credible alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections in Ondo State, Tofowomo said.
