The remains of Dr. Oluwafemi Rotifa, a 28-year-old resident doctor at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), who tragically passed away after allegedly working a 72-hour stretch without rest, have been laid to rest, Peak Newspaper reports
He was buried at the Port Harcourt cemetery on Friday 5th September, 2025.
The deceased was a former president of the Port Harcourt University Medical Students’ Association (PUMSA).
His Death has triggered grief and outrage across Nigeria’s health sector, with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) announcing plans for an autopsy to determine the exact cause.
