Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has alleged that some politicians are behind the abduction of schoolchildren in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State and threatened to expose those involved if the attacks continue, Peak Newspaper reports.

Speaking in a trending video shared by Wisdom TV during a meeting with newly elected National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) executives at his Ibadan residence, Igboho claimed he had offered to assist in rescuing the abducted pupils but was allegedly prevented by the Oyo State Government.

He said authorities informed him that kidnappers threatened to kill the victims if he attempted any intervention, while also alleging that politicians are funding and arming the criminals, and that his proposed security outfit, Iru Ekun, was discouraged from participating in rescue operations.

Igboho further linked the security situation to political interests, claiming some individuals are working to destabilise the administration of President Bola Tinubu, while insisting he knows those behind the attacks and may publicly name them if the situation persists.
