Hon Yusuf Gagdi has failed to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to return to the National Assembly for a third term after losing in the party’s primary election, Peak Newspaper reports.
The outcome has created major reactions among party supporters and political followers across Plateau State as one of the state’s most vocal lawmakers misses out on the ticket race.
The APC primary contest was reportedly intense, with party delegates making their final decision during the exercise held ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Gagdi, who currently represents Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, had been seeking another opportunity to return to the House of Representatives under the ruling party’s platform.
