A group known as Better Nigeria Movement has called on former House of Representatives member, Rt Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin to throw his hat into the ring based on his feats he achieved as a two term member in the National Assembly, Peak Newspaper reports.
The Group recalled that Honourable Akinfolarin was also a former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The group in a statement made available to Peak Newspaper by its State Coordinator and Secretary, Comrade Akinsola – respectively, said Akinfolarin’s tenure as lawmaker witnessed effective and quality representation
“In a country where quality representation is our bane, Akinfolarin was able to rise to the needs of the electorate that elected him through quality representation “
The former Deputy Speaker can best be described as someone who works compulsively to change the fortune of his constituents where he served at the state and national assembly”, the group said.
“He used his position as Chairman, Federal Road Safety Commission (FSRC), of the house of representatives to facilitate gainful employment, not just for his constituents, but the entire state”
The group added that have a compilation of what Akinfolarin achieved when he represented his constituents at the House of Representatives, if he has a bigger portfolio, we can rest be rest assured that he will do more as Senator.
As a group, we have no doubt about his integrity, and his commitment to the people.
“We beckon on him at this time to salvage snd restore the lost glory in Ondo South Nigeria”
“As a group, we will support him in whatever capacity by mobilising human and material resources to see that this dream come to fruition”, the statement read.
