The Kwara State Government has commenced the distribution of relief materials to victims of the recent attacks on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a statement shared on Official Facebook page of Kwara State Emergency Management Agency signed by Atolagbe Seun and monitored by Peak Newspaper.
The intervention, coordinated by the state’s Committee on Woro and Nuku Attacks, is aimed at providing immediate support to affected households and cushioning the impact of the violence on residents.
According to officials, the second phase of the distribution exercise is currently underway, with more than 550 households already benefiting from the initiative.
The relief materials are being distributed across affected communities to ensure equitable access for victims.
Authorities stated that the distribution and broader intervention process remain ongoing as the government continues efforts to restore normalcy and provide humanitarian assistance to impacted families.
