In a major political development, the leadership and stakeholders of Odigbo Local Government have formally declared their unwavering support for Rt. Hon. Akinfolarin Mayowa in his bid for the vacant Ondo South Senatorial seat, Peak Newspaper reports.
This endorsement marks a significant milestone, considering Odigbo’s strong alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC). Their support is predicated on Mayowa’s exemplary track record, his people-focused leadership style, and his proven competence in public service.
Rt. Hon. Mayowa’s wealth of experience, as a former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly and a two-term member of the House of Representatives, continues to reinforce his credibility and preparedness for higher legislative responsibility.
The possibility of the Senate seat being ceded to Odigbo under the APC arrangement also reflects the principles of equity, fairness, and rotational representation, especially as other local governments in the district currently occupy key political positions. With Odigbo’s strong electoral strength and substantial voting bloc, stakeholders insist it is the rightful turn of the local government to produce the next senator—one they unanimously believe should be Rt. Hon. Akinfolarin Mayowa.
The Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Adegoroye, publicly commended Mayowa sterling leadership qualities and urged the good people of Odigbo to give him their full support at the polls.
The declaration event witnessed the presence of notable political figures, including Hon. Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Hon.
