The Ogun State Government has held a stakeholders’ meeting with Fulani leaders to address recurring farmers-herders conflicts, particularly during the dry season, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
The meeting, led by the Governor’s aide on Inter-Ethnic Affairs, Alhaji Hadi Sani, focused on promoting peaceful coexistence and drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to guide relations.
Fulani leaders pledged commitment to peace, vowing to collaborate with local communities to prevent farmland encroachment and resolve disputes amicably.
