As part of its commitment to improving lives and supporting, popular highlife Odigbo-born musician, Temitope Olaoye popular known as King Atayese Orlando Ore, on Friday, distributed food items and cash gifts to over 150 widows in Omifon Odigbo Community, Odigbo LGA of the state, Peak Newspaper reports.
The event took place at King Atayese Orlando Ore resident in Omifon Odigbo, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking on Friday during the outreach, King Atayese said the initiative aimed at providing financial support, food items, and household essentials for elderly women,
“King Atayese pleaded with the widows to brace up and move on with their lives after the demise of their husbands.
He noted that widow should not allow themselves to be weighed down by misplaced anger from their inlaws following the death of their husbands.
According to him the exercise would be continuous as more widows.
King Atayese said, ” We’ll continue to give back to the society. We pray that all your labour over your children after death of your husbands won’t be in vain.
“The programme is a personal commitment to giving back to society and standing with women who are often forgotten. Seeing the smiles on their faces gives us the strength to do even more,”
Beneficiaries described the support as timely and impactful amid economic challenges.
