Odigbo Local Government Chairman, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye has today, hosted Journalists from the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC), at his office, at the Odigbo Local Government secretariat, in Ondo state, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
During the media parley, Hon. Adegoroye highlighted some of the significant achievements of his administration, especially in collaboration with the state and Federal government.
He appreciated the Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for completing numerous infrastructural projects in Odigbo Local Government.
Also, Honourable Adegoroye commended Aiyedatiwa for eradicating the alarming flood, which had frustrated residents of the Ore area of Ondo state, for many years.
Furthermore, he praised the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, for approving the construction of the Ore-Akure expressway project.
“Since I assumed office, as the Chairman of the Odigbo Local Government, our administration has revamped many roads, planted infrastructural projects within the nooks and crannies of the Odigbo Local Government Area.
“I also want to commend the leadership of the Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Father of the Nation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for their relentless effort to galvanize growth, development and progress in Odigbo Local Government, Ondo state and Nigeria, at large. We see their good works, especially in our own jurisdiction and we appreciate it,” Adegoroye said.
He assured the contractor and workers of the Ore-Akure road construction of maximum security.
When he was asked about the poor waste management and disposal in the Ore area of Ondo state, which has heightened erosion in the area, Hon. Adegoroye noted that road workers have been employed to monitor and manage the situation, to avoid reoccurrence of poor waste disposal, resulting in erosion and other aftermath of poor waste management in the area.
