Traditional rulers under the aegis of the Odigbo Council of Obas, Odigbo Local Government Area, have expressed profound appreciation to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for gifting each monarch in the council a new car.
The gesture, which has stirred warm reception across the traditional institution, was acknowledged during an interaction with Peak Newspaper Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the council, the Ajobu of Araromi-Obu Kingdom and Chairman of Odigbo Traditional Rulers, HRM Oba Aderemi Adelola, commended the governor for what he described as a clear demonstration of respect for the traditional institution.
Monarchs who received the car gifts include Ajobu of Araromi-Obu Kingdom– Alaiyeluwa Oba Aderemi Adelola; Orunja of Odigbo Kingdom– Alaiyeluwa Oba (Dr.) Rufus Olugboyega Akinrinmade; Akogbe of Ajue, Alaiyeluwa Oba Bamidele Akinwe; Oworofun of Lapahun – Alaiyeluwa Oba Aderemi Solomon Adejayan; Akamuja of Igburowo– Alaiyeluwa Oba Nelson Akintolayo; Ajamolu of Onisere – Alaiyeluwa Oba Johnson Olafusi G. and Olusan of Aiyesan – Alaiyeluwa Oba Adebayo Bashiru Takuro
The Odigbo Council of Obas also extended appreciation to the Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Amidu Takuro, and the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Adegoroye, for their sustained collaboration with the traditional institution.
They assured both the governor and the local government chairman of their unwavering support and continued cooperation.

The governor’s recent car presentation to traditional rulers in Odigbo Local Government is a testament to his goodwill, progressiveness and respect for our institution.
