The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has lowered the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at its filling stations in Lagos and Abuja.

As of Monday, April 21, fuel prices in these cities were reduced by between N15 and N45 per litre, depending on the location.

In Lagos, the new pump price at some NNPC stations is now N880 per litre, down from the earlier N925, reflecting a N45 decrease. For example, the NNPC station at Apple Junction sold petrol at N880 per litre, while others like Ago Palace and Idimu Road offered fuel at N905 and N910 per litre respectively.

In Abuja, the capital city, the pump price was cut from N950 to N935 per litre, a reduction of N15. Stations at Federal Housing, Kubwa, and along Airport Road in Lugbe were among those implementing the new pricing.

The price reduction comes as a relief to many Nigerians, following months of high fuel costs.
