The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has once again adjusted the pump price of petrol, increasing it to ₦925 per litre at its retail stations across Lagos.
This marks the second hike within just two days, following a previous increase to ₦915 per litre a development that has further deepened concerns over the rising cost of living among Nigerians.
According to findings by Lagos Reporters, the new pricing is already in effect at NNPC outlets located in Fin Niger, LASU-Iba, and Igando areas of Lagos.
Sources within the industry have attributed the latest price adjustment to continued instability in the global crude oil market, exacerbated by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The back-to-back increases have triggered frustration and confusion among commuters, small business owners, and transport operators who say the unrelenting rise in fuel prices is worsening the already harsh economic climate.
Lagos Reporters will continue to monitor the situation and bring updates on public reactions, government responses, and further developments from the downstream sector.
