Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially left the Makinde-backed Turaki faction of the PDP and joined the Wike-led faction, following the inauguration of the party’s National Convention Committee.
The committee is chaired by former Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, Peak Newspaper reports
Natasha, who had earlier participated in the nullified convention held in Ibadan, has now realigned with the faction that reportedly secured victory at the Appeal Court and is recognised by INEC.
Sources indicate that the senator is positioning herself ahead of the 2027 elections, where she is expected to seek re-election to the Senate.
This latest move highlights the ongoing internal divisions within the PDP as political alignments continue to shift ahead of future contests.
