The Lagos State Police Command has declared human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, wanted over an alleged plot to cause public disturbance in the state.
According to Police Commissioner Olorundare Jimoh, intelligence reports revealed that Sowore and his associates planned to stage coordinated protests across key locations in Lagos, including the Third Mainland Bridge, Lekki Tollgate, and Freedom Park, which could obstruct traffic and disrupt public peace.
Jimoh urged Sowore to report to the nearest police station immediately, warning that security operatives will not hesitate to enforce the law against anyone attempting to cause unrest in the state.
The police maintained that while citizens have the right to peaceful assembly, actions that threaten public safety or obstruct major roads will not be tolerated.
