The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has launched a 24-hour surveillance operation, with particular focus on Ilorin and the protection of critical national assets, Peak Newspaper reports.
The initiative, announced under the command’s new leadership, aims to enhance security, deter criminal activities, and safeguard public infrastructure across the state. Officials said the continuous monitoring would involve regular patrols, checkpoints, and the use of modern surveillance techniques to respond promptly to security threats.
The NSCDC urged residents and business operators to cooperate with personnel and report suspicious activities, emphasizing that the proactive measure is designed to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
Command authorities also assured the public that the operation would complement existing security efforts in the state, reinforcing the protection of strategic installations and contributing to a safer environment for citizens.
