The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the Federal Government to urgently tackle rising insecurity, insisting there must be “no excuses” in protecting citizens.
CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, made the appeal at the Christian Council of Nigeria’s General Assembly in Abuja, warning that escalating attacks threaten the nation.
He urged the government to strengthen security, prosecute offenders, support displaced families and rebuild affected communities, while calling on churches to maintain strong advocacy for justice and protection of the vulnerable.
