Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) uncovered a baby factory in Badagry, Lagos, rescuing 18 pregnant women and 10 children, and arresting two suspects, Peak Newspaper reports
The victims were lured through Facebook and agreed to give up their babies after birth in exchange for money ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1.8 million.
Authorities say the suspects will face prosecution, while the victims will be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for care.
