The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has called on Nigerians to hold their state governors and local government chairmen accountable amid the current economic hardship in the country, Peak Newspaper reports.
Prof. Yilwatda emphasized that while the Federal Government continues to roll out policies aimed at stabilizing the economy and improving livelihoods, the implementation and impact of many developmental programs lie largely at the state and local government levels.
He urged citizens to demand transparency, fairness, and effective use of public resources from subnational leaders, noting that true governance accountability begins closest to the people.
