Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved the Board of the Rivers State Microfinance Agency, which was inaugurated in August by the former Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd).
The move comes just two days after the governor disbanded the Rivers Pension Board and directed the Accountant-General to oversee its activities.
The Microfinance Agency’s board, chaired by Prof. Adolphus Toby, was among eight agencies inaugurated on August 14 under Ibas’ administration.
In a statement issued by the Head of Service, Dr. Inyingi Brown, Governor Fubara announced the appointment of Pastor Jonathan Tobin as Acting Managing Director of the Agency.
