The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has embarked on a seven-day warning strike.
In a communiqué signed by its president, Dr. George Ebong, and other executives, the association announced that the industrial action, which commenced on Monday, was necessitated by long-standing systemic issues in the FCT health system.
Ebong noted that resident doctors are under immense pressure, often compelled to manage multiple departments simultaneously, and stressed the need for urgent and comprehensive reforms to safeguard the sector.
