The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed three officers linked to the death of 22-year-old UNIPORT graduate Anthony Obodo in Port Harcourt, Peak Newspaper reports.
The officers were found culpable after an internal investigation into the August 27 incident along Ada George Road. They will also face criminal prosecution.
The command also declared another inspector, who allegedly fled the scene after the shooting, a deserter and said efforts are ongoing to apprehend him.
Anthony’s death had sparked protests and demands for justice from his family and members of the community.
