The reported deaths occurred across Araromi-Obu, Orita New Town and Odigbo communities in the Local Government Area.
Several other residents were reportedly affected and are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals, as authorities move to determine the cause of the deaths.

In an Exclusive interview, The Chairman of Odigbo Local Government Area, Hon Taiwo Adegoroye, confirmed the incident but said he could not provide further details until medical experts visit the affected communities and conduct a professional assessment.
Meanwhile, residents in the affected communities have been advised to exercise caution and avoid consuming suspicious herbal concoctions, unverified sachet products or other substances of uncertain origin pending the outcome of the investigation.
