Former EFCC acting chairman Ibrahim Magu has stated that former President Goodluck Jonathan was not summoned over the $2.1bn arms deal because EFCC records showed the funds were “not officially approved for campaign purposes.”
Magu’s clarification appears in the book From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari by Dr. Charles Omole, which details tensions within the PDP and investigations into top officials over alleged fund diversion. The book also highlights legal challenges, arrests of key figures, and the EFCC’s audit of military procurement under President Buhari.
