The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has cautioned the founder of Word Assembly Ministry, Ilorin, Rev. Isaac Omolehin, over comments he made regarding prominent Nigerian clerics, Peak Newspaper reports
In a statement, CAN expressed concern over remarks attributed to Omolehin about David Oyedepo, Enoch Adeboye, and William Kumuyi, describing them as inappropriate and capable of causing disunity within the Christian community.
The association urged the cleric to exercise restraint in his public statements, emphasizing the need for respect among religious leaders and adherence to values that promote unity and peace.
CAN further called on church leaders across the country to avoid utterances that could inflame tensions or create unnecessary divisions among believers.
While reiterating its commitment to fostering harmony within the Christian faith, the body noted that disagreements should be handled with decorum and mutual respect.
Our Effort to reach Rev. Omolehin for comments on the matter were not immediately successful.
