Deputy Inspector-General of Police Frank Mba has voluntarily retired from the Nigeria Police Force after 34 years of service, Peak Newspaper reports.
Mba, who currently heads Training and Development at Force Headquarters, stepped down following the recent leadership shake-up that saw Kayode Egbetokun retire and Olatunji Rilwan Disu take over as the new IGP.
Meanwhile, the Police Service Commission has invited seven AIGs for promotion interviews as the new police leadership team begins to take shape.
Mba, a former Police PRO and Lagos police spokesman, joined the force in 1992 and rose through the ranks to become one of the most recognizable voices of the Nigeria Police.
