Former First Lady of Ondo State, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has officially joined the Labour Party (LP) in Imo State, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a statement shared on her Facebook page, she confirmed her participation at the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) and stakeholders meeting held in Abuja on March 17.
According to her, the meeting recorded a massive turnout, with the venue struggling to accommodate the large number of attendees.
Her move into the Labour Party signals a new political direction, as she prepares to pursue her senatorial ambition in Imo State.
