Founder of Ibadan-based radio station Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, on Tuesday, apologised to singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and lifted the ban on his songs at the station.
Hamzat had barred Marley’s music in 2024 following allegations linking him to the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
Speaking during a live broadcast, Hamzat expressed regret for his earlier remarks against Marley and announced that Agidigbo FM would resume airing songs from the Marlian camp.
“I am very sorry for all my provocative statements or words to Naira Marley. From today onward, I am lifting the ban on his tracks at Agidigbo FM,” he said before playing Marley’s hit song Tesumole to affirm the directive.
