The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike on Monday evening hosted a critical stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the aegis of Concerned Stakeholders of the PDP, says the party will not die.

He also assured that Sam Anyanwu must continue as the party’s National Secretary.

During the meeting, Wike argued that the Supreme Court recognized Sam Anyanwu as the authentic National Secretary and those determined to remove him from the office should wait for the convention later in the year.

The Minister cited different cases justifying the decision of the National Secretary not to resign despite running for Imo State governorship seat 2023.

He argued that the incumbent Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas did not resign from the state party chairman when he ran for for the office of the governorship election.

The Minister insisted that the party must abide by its constitution as anything short of that will be undermining the sacrifices of the party’s founding fathers.
