Comrade Dayo Akinro the Youth leader of Araromi Obu community in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Thursday, made a plea to the state government for help in resolving the catastrophic effects of incessant flooding on the town’s sole access road.
Comrade Dayo Akinro disclosed this in separate interviews with Peak Newspaper Correspondent in Araromi-Obu.
According to the Comrade Dayo, the only asphalt road in the community has been falling into disrepair for a number of years and is now gradually becoming unusable during the rainy season.
The Youth leader, Who Spoken with Peak News Nigeria Correspondent said the state government to resolve the problem by mending the road and putting in place suitable drainage.
As at this moment, for the past one week, their has been total and outright blockage of the road by the Owi river as a result of the continuous raining, No vehicle can cross it.
On this note, we are appealing to both government, corporate and individuals to come to our rescue in this regard.
They observed that the road is littered with potholes, making it challenging for vehicles, especially those hauling cargo, to travel without breaking down.
The route served as a link between Araromi Obu and Ikale Ayede Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State.
