Alhaji Aminu Alkali, Deputy governor of Taraba State, has returned to Jalingo, the state capital, after an absence of about four months.

Daily Trust gathered that the Deputy governor arrived at Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, in a chartered Aircraft at 1.40pm.

There were no newsmen at the airport at the time of  his  arrival because journalists were not informed ahead.

The Deputy governor, it was gathered was initially flown to Abuja for treatment for undisclosed illness and later flown to Egypt for intensive medical treatment.

“We were told that the Deputy governor is back in Jalingo but nobody informed us of his return. We only heard after he returned to the town,” one of reporters attached to the Deputy Governor’s office told Daily Trust.

The Deputy governor has no press secretary, which made it difficult to get official confirmation of his as of the time of filing this report.

But the Senior Assistant to the governor on Media and Digital communications, Mr Emmanuel Bello,  confirmed the return of the Deputy Governor but gave no details.
