President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received a delegation of traditional rulers from Oyo State on a courtesy visit at the State House in Abuja, Peak Newspaper reports.
The delegation was led by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, alongside several prominent monarchs from across Oyo State.
Those in attendance included the Aare Ago of Ogbomoso, the Osi Olubadan, the Balogun of Ibadanland, the Onigbeti of Igbeti, the Alajawa of Ajawa, the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, the Aseyin of Iseyin, and Mogaji Wole Arisekola.
Also present at the meeting were the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe, Chairman of the Nigerian Revenue Service Zacch Adedeji, and Presidential spokesperson Sunday Dare.
The visit highlighted continued engagement between the Presidency and traditional institutions, with the Oyo monarchs paying a courtesy call on President Tinubu at Aso Villa.
