An indigenous association, Araromi-Obu Welfare Council Ore has presented honorary awards to some of its outstanding members during its 37 year’s Founder’s Day Anniversary Celebration today at the St. Mark’s Mega Primary School in Ore, the headquarter of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State, Peak Newspaper Nigeria reports.
During his remarks at the Araromi-Obu Welfare Council’s Founder’s Day Anniversary Celebration, the Chairman of the indigenous council, who is also the Chairman of Ifesowapo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Araromi Obu, Honourable Adeolu Akinseyoju appreciated members, leaders of the Council and invited dignitaries for gracing the event.
Highlighting the significance of Araromi-Obu Welfare Council, Akinseyoju noted the indigenous association aims to foster peace, progress and cooperation among the people of Araromi-Obu community.
He urged members and influential figures from Araromi-Obu who is living within the ore communities to join the Araromi-Obu Welfare Council, to further harness the existing progress of the community.
Also, to recognize the immense contribution of some individuals towards the growth and progress of Araromi-Obu Welfare Council, the Chairman of the indigenous association, Honourable Adeolu Akinseyoju presented honorary award to the Special Adviser to the Ondo state Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, Comrade Bola Taiwo, former Ondo state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Honourable Amidu Takuro; Youth leader of Araromi-Obu Comrade Dayo Akinro, Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye and many other dignitaries.
Speaking at the Araromi-Obu Welfare Council’s Founder’s Day Anniversary Celebration, the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Honourable Taiwo Adegoroye expressed gratitude for the honorary award he received at the event.
He reaffirmed his commitment and support for the Araromi-Obu Welfare Council, noted that “Araromi-Obu Welfare Council is a powerful driver of growth, development and unity.
I am proud to be associated with this prestigious indigenous association and I promise that we’ll continue to join our hands together for the betterment of our community.” Honorable Taiwo said
