Ese-odo, a Local Government Area in Ondo state has recorded a phenomenal stride of development— ranging from renovation of public infrastructures; transformation of markets; provision of welfare package for residents and other developmental projects.

According to a statement that was released yesterday by Denis Pounah, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, the Molos-led Administration has exceeded expectations in areas of leadership.

Speaking on the progress made so far, the Council Chairman emphasized that leadership must prioritize the people’s welfare, echoing the words of philosopher Jeremy Bentham that “politics or democracy must be geared towards creating the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people.”

Among the landmark accomplishments recorded by the administration are the purchase of seven operational vehicles for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and other principal officers to enhance mobility and administrative efficiency.

The renovation of the NDDC Quarters—including the installation of solar-powered lights and a borehole—has also improved the living conditions of principal officers, ending the long-standing practice of renting residential apartments for them.

In a similar effort, the Chairman’s official residence in Igbekebo, which had been abandoned for years by previous administrations, has been fully renovated and restored to a befitting status.

To boost economic activities, thirty open market shops were constructed and completed at the Agadagba Obon Main Market, providing a conducive environment for traders and stimulating local commerce.

The council has also enhanced internal revenue generation through the recruitment of ad-hoc staff to manage collections in Agadagba Obon, Igbotu, Iluagbo, Igbekebo, and other communities.

In the area of sanitation and environmental management, drainages, gutters, walkways, and major roadsides in key towns including Igbekebo, Agadagba Obon, Igbotu, and Kiribo were cleared to improve hygiene and prevent flooding.

The administration also extended financial support to Christian and Muslim communities across the ten wards during religious festivities, promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among residents.

Additionally, the front view of the Arogbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been cleared for the second time, offering a clear and direct view of the secretariat from the Agadagba Obon waterfront.

Despite financial constraints, the Molos-led government has continued to record visible progress across sectors, reflecting a strong dedication to the growth and development of Ese-Odo Local Government Area.

With several other projects in the pipeline, High Chief Molos reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Ese-Odo remains on the path of peace, productivity, and sustainable development.
