Pelumi Olajengbesi, an Abuja-based lawyer, has stepped aside from his role at Law Corridor as he prepares to pursue his political ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections, Peak Newspaper reports.
In a statement made available to Peak Newspaper on Wednesday, the partners and management of the firm said Olajengbesi’s decision to step aside was informed by his growing political engagements and aspiration for public office.
According to the firm, the move aligns with its internal governance framework, which requires the organisation to maintain strict political neutrality.
“This decision is in accordance with the Articles of Governance of Law Corridor, which uphold the firm’s long-standing policy of political neutrality,” said Ganiyu Ajibola Bello, the firm’s Deputy Managing Partner.
Bello also acknowledged Olajengbesi’s contributions to the firm’s development, noting that the partners appreciate his role in the growth of the organisation and wish him success in his pursuit of public service.
Olajengbesi previously served as Managing Partner of Law Corridor and later returned to the firm’s leadership as Senior Partner and Group Lead of the Family, Succession and Wealth Management (FSW) practice after completing his tenure.
Outside legal practice, he is widely known for his involvement in civil society and human rights advocacy.
He currently serves as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network, a political movement supporting the re-election of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Olajengbesi is also seeking to represent the Obokun–Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election.
